Free and Low Cost Cervical Cancer Screening
For those with insurance, cervical cancer screening is a covered benefit. If you don’t have insurance and are looking for free or low-cost screening, there are a number of options available.
National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program
Free or low-cost cervical cancer screenings are available nationwide through the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (NBCCEDP) for women who meet specific criteria. You may be eligible for free or low-cost screenings if:
- You are 21 to 64 years old
- You have no insurance, or your insurance does not cover screening exams.
- Your yearly income is at or below 250% of the federal poverty level.
Certain women who are younger or older may qualify for screening services. Click here to search for NBCCEDP contact information for your state, territory, or tribal organization.
Planned Parenthood
Planned Parenthood also offers low-cost cervical cancer screening. Health center staff work within your budget to try to make sure you get the care you need.
American Cancer Society
The American Cancer Society’s I Love You Get Screened™ website lets you search for screening locations for cervical cancer (as well as lung, breast, colorectal and prostate cancer) near you. Many of these locations are federally qualified health centers where screening is low cost or free.
