The NC Triangle Chapter is familiar to drivers along highway 42 in Wake County, as the chapter is the official sposor of a stretch of the road through the Adopt a Highway program. Chapter volunteers, including chapter leader Lorrie Myers, schedule clean up days throughout the year and aim to make NCCC a visible presence in the area.
Chapter volunteers also made an impact in the area with a Santa Night fundraiser in December. Volunteers, dressed as merry elves, travel around town singing carols and bringing cheer. In exchange, they ask their audiences for donations to support the chapter's educational efforts to raise awareness about HPV and cervical cancer prevention.
