I am 33 years old & have 3 children. I was diagnosed with cc in
May 2002 & began radio/chemo/brachy therapy in June 2002. I was not given the option of surgery because of 1 lymph node involvement and my tumor was 5cm. Since then I have had to have a hysterectomy but not because of a recurrence, because I was just getting abnormal results due to radiation changing my cells.
It has been a hard road to follow, I am 1 1/2 years past it now & I feel like I^m never gonna get past it but it inspires me to read about other people^s victories.
I think it^s always a good idea to hear from the people who caught it really early & that are many year^s past surgery but I would encourage more women who have had more advanced stages to write & present their success stories to everyone because they inspire us all, afterall, if you can beat cancer at it^s worst then we can all live in hope.
I continue to live in the hope that I will see my children grow, but for now, I measure my life not by the breaths I take but by the moments that take my breath away.
I wish you all well & I hope that we can hear more survivor stories soon, thanks for listening.
