I have been very recently diagnosed with a rarer form of cervical cancer--small cell. Two CT scans have shown that it is confined to the pelvic area, with no evidence of lymph node, abdominal or lung involvement. The tumor is too large to operate, so chemo starts next week (exactly one week after diagnosis). If the tumor shrinks enough, I will then have a radical hysterectomy. Possibly radiation, I don^t know. I am very scared and depressed. I am only 26, just got engaged and have no children. My spirits are low, and I^m not sure I^m ready for the upcoming fight. If anyone has any words of encouragement, that would be appreciated. Best wishes to all.
