  • I am a cancer survivor
  • Well back in 1999 i was 29 thats when i found out that i had cervical cancer. Though i went to my doctor for a year before it was detected. I had all the signs, but it took a year of going to the doctors for someone to detect it. I had pap smears done ...Ladies they dont always detect it. When i found out i was scared. I am a single mom of 5 children and i didnt want to leave them without a mom. My cancer was in its late stages by the time i started treatment, it had spread to my bladder i had to get radiation chemo internal radiation and a surgery. They had to take everything down below as well as six feet of intestine my bladder my apendix it was the scariest time of my life.It is now July 2005 im 35 and it still hasnt come back. I pray all the time and i just look to the future and the love of my kids to keep me going.Good luck to all who have this or any other type of cancer and remember there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
