I wrote in a few weeks ago hoping to be a survivor. Well my surgery was May 12th and all looks good. I was a 1b(1) and they say that I do not need radiation. I am very happy however still very worried about healing and remaining cancer free. I am thankful and I want to encourage women to get pap tests every year. I also what women who has dysplasia to be informed by there doctors that cancer can still occur after number negative pap tests. I had dysplasia 6 years ago and have had clear paps ever since. Then this year it came back positive for endocervical adenocarcinoma - it was inside the cervix not outside and it is difficult to detect. They caught it by using the brush during the exam which goes into the cervical canal. I am alive and will hope to survive for many years after this terrible experience.
