I just wanted to say my story. I had not gotten an pap in over 4 years. I had profuse bright red bleeding a year ago (twice) during intercourse and since it went away, I never checked it out. 8 months later it happened again during intercourse, bright red blood. A year and a half later I decide to go to the gyno for a mild infection (go figure, I wasn^t embarassed to go for the infection) consequently did a pap and it comes back abnormal. wow. shock. Now not only did I have an abnormal pap Class III but, the profuse bleeding I experienced the year prior... I was called in for a colposcopy. At that time I was even EMBARRASSED to mention to the doctor that I had had two incidences of really bad bleeding, so I didn^t. I let her schedule the colpo 2 weeks later, I didn^t feel the need to rush. I felt what were two weeks after not going in 4 years? The wait for the results was agonizing. I was lucky and the colpo only revealed mild dysplasia. But, I went through the motions. I had my whole life flash in front of me. All I can say is that I admire all of you so much. And, this website really helped me to be brave and I will pray for all of you. May God Bless you all... I made a promise that is to tell everyone my story and tell them to get there annual paps! The reason I didn^t get paps? Not that important I thought. I have really changed my mind.
