Survivors

I was 22, and diagnosed with HSIL (high grade dysplasia). I had routine paps since I was 13, when I first got on the Pill, and it was never abnormal. When I got the abnormal results, I freaked out. I had to have the LEEP procedure done, and then two paps a year. I'm 30 now, and I've had normal paps for the past six years, and I'm back to just one per year. But at the same time every year, I get nervous waiting for the results.

I never thought I'd go through what I did as such a strong age. I'm glad I did what I could to prevent further damage.
