Survivors

I am 27 years old and today I was diagnosed with Carcinoma-in-situ. The first thing I did was freak out, but after reading the survivor studies and talking more with my doctor, I now understand it is a very treatable disease. I have my pre-op appointment next week with a surgeon. I am very thankful for early detection and from this day on will stress the importance of screening to everyone i know!!
