This is to Robin: I was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma 5 years ago at the age of 54. I know exactly how you felt when you received that call from your GYN. My last PAP was normal nine months before my diagnosis. I had a radical hysterectomy followed by chemo and radiation. It was no picnic, but I AM ALIVE AND THRIVING TODAY. During a recent visit to my regular GYN (the GYN Oncologist released me in February), he made the comment that "they^re having really good results with cervical cancer treatments these days". I write this to say, DO NOT PANIC! I cannot assure you that everything will be Okay because no one knows the future. But I can assure that many women (including me) have survived this cancer. I will keep you in my prayers.
