Wow, so many of you are going thru exactly what I went thru just over 5 years ago. I thought I was alone and now thru research I see that I am not. One month after my wedding I got a call from the doctors office explaining to me that my pap was abnormal and that they needed to run more test. Scared and confused about what I heard I thought it was something I did wrong. However that was not the case. I went in for a biopsy that next month and a week later found out my faith. I remember getting a phone call just before Christmas and it was not good I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. They scheduled my appointment just after New Years January 3, 2005 to be exact to come in for the leep procedure which I had 90% of my cervix taken out. They did not remove the entire cervix because I still wanted to try to have children. I went in for check ups every two months due to complications but can say I am now a survivor. Thank goodness I got my check ups on a regular basis due to other illnesses and they caught it early. I am lucky and hope that everyone can be as lucky as I. We all need to do our part in making sure that everyone is aware of Cervical Cancer and what they can do to prevent it or catch it in its early stage.
