Well I guess I can call myself a survivor even though I\^m still in the beginning stages of it all. I\^ve always had abnormal PAPS. When I gave birth to my son in 2000 that\^s when they began. I religiously had my annual checkups and usually followed by biopsies that clear; that was until this year. As usualmy PAP was abnormal and a biopsy was performed but this time was different. Several days later I received the call that changed my world; age 29, mother of one, married for 11 years to the same man and I had cervical cancer. I honestly didn\^t want to know the stage or what I had in store, I onlyhad one request; keep me alive and get it out of me. I just had my first surgery November 6th and am recovering well. No chemo or radiation so far so I have to be thankful for small favors!
All you ladies give me strength and hope that this isn\^t a death sentence or a one way ticket to despair and loss of hope. I fight for my family, I fight for my baby, I fight for me! Don\^t any of you lose your fight!
