If you don\^t feel comfortable with your doctor\^s recomendation, I would suggest getting a second opinion. It cannot hurt.
I was diagnosed with stage 1B1 Adenocarcinoma and had a radical hysterectomy and radiation treatments. I am by no means saying that this is the right course of action for you, but if there\^s anything that I have learned from this whole thing is to go with your gut. If something feels wrong, or you are not confident with the answers you are getting, ask someone else. Before I had my treatment, I had opinions from 5 different doctors in 3 states. By the time I was done, I was confident about the course of treatment and found the right doctor for the surgery. Some people might find this overkill, but it was my life on the line. If you and your doctor do decide to take a wait and see approach, I recommend that you stay vigilant and see the doctor when he/she suggests. Do not wait.
I hope everything goes well.
