I have submitted my story before, but I\^d like to update it. I have been terminal for 4 years. I was given only a couple of weeks to live back then and I have fought every day to live and raise my children. I have been told for 4 years there was nothing that could be done for me, until now. Next month I will be taking a very drastic step for survival, for a cure. I will be having a trans lumbar amputation. They will amputate me at the waist in an attempt to cut out the diseased pelvis along with one leg that was damaged from radiation treatments. There is a small chance the leg that has only minor damage may be saved, it depends if there is disease in the pelvis above it. As far as we can determine this surgery has never been attempted for this purpose, but I am willing to do what it takes to survive to raise my children. I have fought cancer for a total of 6 years. I have had all of the radiation I can have. I have lost a kidney, bladder, and part of my colon. My greatest wish is that people will educate others so no one ever has to go through what I have been through. This disease is preventable and everyone should be educated so that it is prevented.
