I am truly blessed. I was 35 years old in March and found out that I was pregnant with my fourth child shortly thereafter. As unexpected as it was we were excited. Then at my 28 week check up at the OB/GYN a mass was discovered on my cervix.Five days later I was told that it was cancer.I was immediately sent to an oncologist in Orlando, Florida who confirmed the results. No one knows where the tumor came from, but it wasn\^t there a few weeks previous. At thirty weeks my water broke and I was hospitalized. At thirty two weeks my precious baby was taken by c-section and a radical hysterectomy was done. I am now cancer free and have a beautiful baby girl. I have realized that everything happens for a reason, and she is a blessing. Without her I probably would never have even known that I had cancer until it was too late. I count my blessing everyday and hope to tell others about cervical cancerand the importance of regular Pap Smears. I never thought that it would happen to me but it has and I am living to tell about it.
