I\^ve just recently finished battling stage 2 cervical cancer. I, like so many of you, had horrible periods, frequent bleeding between periods, bloating and so much more. I finally went to my OBGYN to request a total hysterectomy. I was 39 at the time and knew I didn\^t want any more children,(I have one) so for me personally, this was what I wanted. One week after my hysterectomy I got a call saying that they found cancer. Fortunately, this was caught because of my hysterectomy. I had a pap test only weeks before my surgery and it showed to be normal. I also had an adenocarcinoma cancer, not HPV. This is a form of cervical cancer that is less than 10 percent and is hard to find on a pap test. So for me, the hysterectomy saved my life. If I hadn\^t had the surgery chances are the cancer would have never been detected. If you have symptoms please don\^t give up persuing answers. I\^m thankful I did.
