  • I am a cancer survivor
  • I just thought that I would write a quick inspirational note to all of you who\^s treatment is just beginning. It does get easier. I was diagnosed with stage 2B2 cancer in Nov. of 02. I was to have a hysterectomy that December, however the cancer had already spread to my lymph nodes so the hysterectmy was a no go. The doctor took into consideration my age (I was only 20, with a 2 y/o son) and decided to transposition my ovaries to hopefully preserve fertility. (I will be going with in the next month to find out it worked) I went through the daily radiation for a month, 5 once a week treatments of chemo and then the 5 once a week internal Bracio radition therapy. I have now been cancer free for almost 5 years!!!! And each day I think about it a little less. I know that when you are going through it, that is something that you think that you will never stop thinking about, but you can. After a while, you start living life again. Best wishes to all of you!!! and don\^t ever give up!
