During National Women's Health Week in May, the Ohio Chapter sponsored a fun local event designed to raise awarnesss about cervical cancer and women's health: Leave Your Panties at the Mall! The chapter set up a display at the mall encouraging shoppers to decorate panties and briefs in honor of a loved one to raise awareness.
In September, the chapter held its 3rd annual softball tournament to benefit the Stephanie Bryant Scholarship Fund and NCCC. The chapter was founded to celebrate the memory of Stephanie Bryant, who lost her battle with cervical cancer at the age of 33, and their fundraising efforts support a scholarship in Stephanie's name at her alma mater—the Robert T. White School of Practical Nursing. The first recipient of The Stephanie Bryant Scholarship—Lisa Stanley—now a graduate of nursing school, helped organize this year's softball tournament.
The chapter also raises through Bravelets bracelets. Teal Jewelry Fundraiser, $10 of each purchase goes to the Sebring, OH/Celebrating Stephanie Chapter!
