In April, chapter leader Rose Thompson particpated in a local health and wellness fair, offering information on cervical cancer preventon. Here's Rose's take on the event: "Overall, it was a HUGE success. I handed out numerous fliers and brochures. I was able to share my story with numerous women some of whom admitted to me that they had been negligent in keeping their annual exams and would be scheduling them a.s.a.p. I also was able to share various info with parents about HPV vaccines. Some were amazed to hear that it was available to them beyond certain ages, and others that it was also available for their sons. So, I left the event feeling very grateful for being given the opportunity to spread this awareness.
