Virginia Chapter (Hampton Roads)
|Chapter Leader: Heather Brunner
Chapter Leader since October 2014
I am a local Virginia Beach entrepreneur, wife, mother, and friend. Between managing a household and my business, I recently launched a fitness movement in the Hampton Roads area focusing on helping women find resources to make positive lifestyle changes. In 2001, while pregnant with my son I was diagnosed with cervical cancer found during my first ever Pap test. The struggle for answers and education led me on a life changing journey. Early detection through regular screenings, proper women's health education, and emotional support are vital. It is my hope to help educate the public and change the perception of HPV, bring support to women in high risk situations, and raise a stronger awareness through fundraising and social events!
I believe…”As we travel through life we are constantly leaving fingerprints and imprints on the lives of people we come in contact with. It is up to us as human beings to decide whether those fingerprints will last a lifetime." I am always looking for others who want to support the NCCC’s mission, so if you live in the Hampton Roads area and would like to make a difference I would enjoy hearing from you!
Check back often for upcoming events!
